Alchemy Design Groups staff is comprised of two founding partners, administrative staff and a tight group of “guns for hire”. The Corporation is built on the Professional Partners model seen in law and engineering firms. Ken Wells, Creative Deviant. Ken first honed his design skills in the international market of South Florida. Working in such an International market inspired him to always want to be at the forefront of functional design. Yearning for more, Ken soon moved to the sunny design climate of Southern California where he slummed around every major design firm, all the while building his own client base until he had accumulated enough clients and vendors to launch Alchemy Design Group. After many successful years of traditional design, he soon grew interested in motion media and the multi-dimensionality that it provided to design. This quickly grew into a curiosity for the web as a means to present this new media. The technical side of ADG was born. Ken is fluent in all graphic applications including (but not limited to) Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Flash, GoLive and works exclusively in a MAC environment.
Karey Starr, Application Specialist, Advanced Projects Leader. Karey first began his professional career in the highly quantitative insurance industry, developing internal applications, corporate websites and enterprise level web systems. After a long run in this field, he decided to move out on his own and pursue a more diverse and creative clientele, which led to the formation of the current operating state of Alchemy Design Group. Karey’s wide experience in computer application development, statistical applications, database development, and internet applications has provided an irreplaceable foundation to ADG’s technical capabilities. Although we have strong development skills in classic ASP and Coldfusion, ADG has invested for the future in ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, XML, Html, Javascript, and DHTML. Past projects have included work with Oracle, MS Access, or MySQL/Apache platforms.
